Sarah Hromack here, of the other Forward Retreat (now offline, R.I.P.). Consider this website a divergence from that theme, for those of you who knew it. It will serve as a digital archive of my thesis research and a Petri dish for the work itself, as I’m currently completing my MA in Visual Criticism at the California College of the Arts in San Francisco, CA. And what is Visual Criticism? It’s a conflated term used to describe a program that induces theoretically induced psychosis while sharpening one’s writing skills.
No more museum jockeying, much less gallery fraternizing, and a general shift of focus to visual and cultural studies are the characteristics that describe my plans for this blog that, by the way, isn’t really a blog. I am not blogtastic. Never was, never will be. I’ll be writing when it’s necessary to do so. So don’t expect the action, but please do stop by from time to time.

Congratulations on your escape from the “blogosphere”. Now you’ll have to look out for the alternative realities of visual and cultural studies.
The research project looks intriguing, Sarah. All the best.
